My today’s card was made with Spellbinders March 2023 Clubs, lovely Stitching Die of the Month! The Stitching Die of the Month, launched in January this year, is truly my favorite club membership.
I usually like the red color enough to be called red mania, so this card also used red color paper and yellow color paper that goes well with the red color to complete this card.
Let’s see my card design! I hope you enjoy my card!
This month’s Stitching die, aka “Nested Layered Stitched Petal” die set, consists of 4 dies, but I only used 3 of them. The diamond-shaped die is a die originally configured to be positioned in the center. I did two die cutting using this die. Place one of them in the center and cut one into 4 pieces. The diamond-shaped die-cut placed in the center was stitched using a light gold thread. After stitching, Gold Embellishments were attached to the center where the threads gathered. Then, using a die to cut oval-shaped pieces stitched together on a diamond shape, red and yellow colored papers were die-cut. The paper cut into four pieces was stitched together with the red and yellow color die-cutting pieces, respectively. It was then placed at the four corners of the card base and popped up. The center of the card was also hot-foiled using my favorite Yana’s Special Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set.

I love your stitching cards. I used to do cross stitch, then had some eye issues and moved to paper crafting. I’m absolutely going to try making some stitching cards, it may be easier than embroidery and cross stitch for vision issues. Thanks for the inspiration.
