Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month “Flower Delivery”

Today I’m sharing cards made with the Spellbinders January 2023 Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month. I really recommend hot-foiling!
I really like the hot foiling technique. So, when I looked at the cards I made recently, I could see that more cards were made using hot foiling rather than stamping. The number of brands releasing hot foil plates has increased recently. But I still think Spellbinders is my best choice because they have the largest selection of hot foil plates and offer hot foil plates as a monthly club kit. This month’s glimmer Hot foil kit is designed to run with flowers on top of a nice car, just like the name Flower Delivery. The plate configuration is as follows. Mini Tag is a die. A coordinating die is included to cut according to the shape of the car and flower parts.
The card idea I came up with after seeing cars and flowers is “only walk on flower paths.” In Korea, when wishing people good luck, they say, “Only walk on flowery paths.” As far as I know, there is no idiom that can accurately express this nuance in English. But in this card, I wanted to express my belief that a car driving down a road full of flowers will bring you good luck. I hope this card full of flowers brings you good luck.

For this card, I used multiple colored foil rolls. Spellbinders sells hot foil rolls in a variety of colors. In particular, the colors I recommend are black, lavender petal, skybright, polished brass, and rose gold, which were used to make this card.
At first, I wanted to do hot foiling in multiple colors on a single sheet of paper, but after doing the hot foiling several times, it was not clean, so I hot foiled and die-cut each color separately. As mentioned above, the flowers used foil rolls of these four colors. And the nice car was black hot-foiled. Personally, the black foil role is a must-have item. I really recommend it. A total of 12 flowers were placed on the background by placing the four colors three times on the background. And small sentiments cut with a mini tag die were also placed between the flowers. How about a black car on a colorful floral background? Aren’t your eyes focused on the car going down the flower road?
